Dignosis and consultancy service

It is one of the services offered by CERAC Day Centre (la Garriga, Barcelona – Spain).

The service is constituted by a team of professionals from the areas of neurology, psychiatry, psychology, pedagogy and familiar advice.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorders is a complex process that, in order to do it with guarantees, requires an experienced multidisciplinary team and the possibility to make lengthy and continued behavioural observations (24 hours a day).

The EAP CERAC-APAFAC Autism (psychopedagogical advice team), was approved by the Education Department of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia in 1984, and was given the following functions: prevention, assessment, orientation and monitoring of autistic spectrum disorders, in the area of Catalonia.
