The Foundation was established in 1984. Its mission is improving the quality of life of people with autism. It is classified as a charity-welfare organisation. The Foundation is recognized internationally as a pioneer in the development of actions and specific services for people with autism.

The objetives of the foundation

Promote, look after and aid the non-profit entities devoted to the treatment and care of people with autism.

Foster and develop scientific research, training and dissemination projects, as well as the study of techniques and working methods for their application in education, welfare and social inclusion of these people.

Exercise the guardianship of those people who need it.

Activities

Since its origin, the Foundation has developed an intense labour in different areas related to autism.

• Promotion, creation, collaboration and support of specific centres, particularly regarding services of occupational therapy and therapeutic halls of residence.
• Organisation of training activities addressed to both parents and professionals (courses, seminars, conferences, symposiums, congresses, etc.).
• Coordination and collaboration in national and European projects. Advice to entities, families and professionals.
• Participation in scientific studies.
